This presentation from Checkmarx research labs will hopefully educate you about a very common hack called Parameter Tampering, also known as Parameter manipulation.
You will witness a Parameter Tampering attack, its consequences, how it can be detected, and then ultimately prevented.
Parameter Tampering is based on the manipulation of parameters exchanged between client and server. Parameters can be violated by using cookies, hidden form fields, or a URL query string.
