We’re excited to announce that Checkmarx has been chosen as a Finalist for Red Herring’s Top 100 Europe award, a distinctive list that honors the year’s most promising private tech companies in Europe.
The Red Herring 100 Awards, first started in 1996, are one of the most prestigious events for start-ups across the world. Red Herring’s editorial team analyzes hundreds of cutting edge companies and technologies and selects those positioned to grow at an explosive rate. The Top 100 companies are assessed on 20 varying criteria, including disruptiveness of the solution in its respective markets, market maturity, quality of the management, financial performance, and technological advantage, among many others.
This unique assessment of a company’s potential is accompanied by a review of their actual track record and standing, allowing Red Herring to get past the “buzz” and make the list a valuable instrument for discovering and advocating the greatest business opportunities in the industry.
With a great 2013 now behind us, we can officially say our great year is continuing with a fantastic first quarter. We were recently named as the 2nd fastest growing security company in the 2013 Deloitte EMESA Tech Fast 500 and experienced revenue growth upwards of 2,200% over the last five years. After a private funding round of $8 million, Checkmarx is geared for an even more successful 2014.
“This year was rewarding, beyond all expectations,” said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring. “The global economic situation has abated and there are many great companies producing really innovative and amazing products. We had a very difficult time narrowing the pool and selecting the finalists. Checkmarx shows great promise and therefore deserves to be among the finalists. Now we’re faced with the difficult task of selecting the Top 100 winners of Red Herring Europe. We know that the 2014 crop will grow into some amazing companies that are sure to make an impact.”
The awards will be presented during the Red Herring Europe Forum in Amsterdam, April 7-9, where Checkmarx CEO Emmanuel Benzaquen will present our winning strategy.
Here is the full list of finalists – best of luck to all!
