Mr. Benzaquen brings to Checkmarx over 15 years of technology and business experience in the semiconductor, software and IT fields. Before joining Checkmarx in 2006, he was involved with several startups companies and the Israeli VC industry at large. Prior to that, he headed the Business Development Group at ARC in San Jose, CA, which completed its IPO in 2000 (LSE: ARK). While at ARC, Mr. Benzaquen took an active part with the acquisition and integration of Precise Software Technologies and MetaWare. In addition, Mr. Benzaquen occupied various technology and business development related positions with Embedded Performance Inc. (subsequently acquired by Mentor Graphics), Intellicourt, Integrity Systems, Illuminator (subsequently acquired by EMC), and X-Ample Technology. Mr. Benzaquen holds an MBA (ISM, California) in International Business and a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Polytechnique Nantes, France). He is the author of many articles in leading industry publications including EETimes, Electronics Weekly, and InfoWeek.
Mr. Siman is a technology expert. He has been active in the IT industry for the past 12 years and has experience in software development, IT security and source-code analysis. Prior to founding Checkmarx, Mr. Siman worked for two years at the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office as a senior IT security expert and project manager. Prior to that he spent six years with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), where he was elected for the STAR excellence program and taught several consecutive sessions of their prestigious application development course (Mamram). He established and led a development team in the Information Security Center (InfoSec) and completed military academy as an IT Security R & D Officer. He regularly speaks at IT security conferences and holds the highly regarded CISSP certification since 2003.
Mr. Roichman is one of the original developers responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of the Checkmarx’s CxSuite. Alex has over 10 years of experience in development of comprehensive enterprise IT solutions and holds a Master’s degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Computer Science with a specialization in application and database security. Mr. Roichman has the most valuable Microsoft certifications: Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) and Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA). Alex has authored a number of articles in the field of application security and has been published in ACM, Springerlink as well as many other leading journals.
Mr. Arvatz brings over 25 years of finance experience to Checkmarx. Throughout his career, he has served as CFO of multiple large software companies, where he managed global finance and accounting operations and led initial and secondary public offerings, mergers and acquisitions and sales transactions. Before joining Checkmarx, Mr. Arvatz was the CFO of Allot Communications, a leading provider of security and monetization solutions. Additionally, Mr. Arvatz gained extensive experience as the CFO of ClickSoftware, a leading provider of field service and workforce management software. He also served as CFO and executive vice president of Tecnomatix Technologies Ltd., a leading provider of software e-manufacturing solutions.
Mr. Lerner served over 20 years as an executive and professional in various positions in the software industry spanned over international locations, including USA and Europe. Moshe gained vast experience developing products and projects for Fortune 500 customers like International Paper, UBS and Siemens in cooperation with large solution providers like IBM and Accenture. Moshe served as executive in Delivery, Product Management and Business Development roles working for companies like Sapiens (Nasdaq:SPNS) as VP Delivery for America and at ItemField (acquired by Informatica) as VP Product Management and Business Development EMEA. Moshe holds B.S.C in Information systems from the Technion in Israel graduating cum Ladue.
Mr. Bhonker is an international executive with over 20 years’ experience in software sales and marketing. Before joining Checkmarx Rafi was Vice President of Business Development at Nice (NASDAQ: NICE) and prior to that held executive positions at Orsus Solutions, Babylon and NetManage. Rafi was also a co-founder of UCMore, an internet startup company, and a founding member at Mercury Interactive (acquired by HP). Rafi established the Mercury Interactive operations in Santa Clara, California. As part of Mercury’s management team he was instrumental in the introduction and sales of automated software testing tools to the North American market. Mr. Bhonker holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
Mr. Dar brings over 17 years of experience in Product Strategy, Product Management, R&D, Project Delivery and Customer Service in various software industries. Before joining Checkmarx, Assaf was the CTO and then the CPO of Perion’s (NASDAQ: PERI) publishers monetization division and prior to that he held executive and management positions in Conduit (Acquired by Perion), CA Technologies (NASDAQ: CA), Oblicore (Acquired by CA Technologies) and Enigma (Acquired by PTC). Assaf holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Statistics & Operations Research from Tel Aviv University in Israel.
Bernd has been an innovator in marketing helping fast-growing global companies scale for more than 20 years. He is responsible for overseeing Checkmarx’ worldwide marketing organization. Before joining Checkmarx, Bernd was the CMO of CloudLock, a leading provider of cloud access security broker (CASB) solutions. After the company was acquired by Cisco in August 2016 for $293 million, Bernd stayed on board to serve as the head of product marketing and insights in Cisco’s Cloud Security Business Unit. At CloudLock, he was instrumental in positioning the company as a leader in the CASB space and helping drive the culture that led to the company being named one of the three best places to work in the U.S. by Glassdoor. In addition, Bernd has held vice president of marketing positions at mobile engagement platform provider Localytics, security companies Rapid7 and Veracode as well as IT software solution provider Oblicore and managed service provider Navisite. Five of the organizations that he has held leadership position in have been named “Best Places to Work” and were listed on the Inc. 5000 of fastest growing companies. Bernd has written two books, has been featured in numerous publications and is a frequent speaker at conferences. A native of Germany, Bernd has been living in the Boston area with his family for the past 20 years. He earned an MBA from the University of Munich and has completed studies at Georgetown University.
Mr. Livni brings over 20 years of experience in technology, product marketing, product management and product strategy. Previously served as VP of Products at Correlsense, an Enterprise IT Management company, and as a Product Manager at Cyberark (Nasdaq: CYBR) where he also held additional roles including a research engineer and development group manager. Prior to Cyberark, Mr. Livni spent over six years with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), where he graduated the prestigious software engineering training course (cum laude) and served in several development and technology management roles. Mr. Livni holds an MBA from Tel-Aviv University (cum laude) and a BA degree in Computer Science and Economy from Bar-Ilan university.
Mrs. Ben Tovim is responsible for Checkmarx’s human resources from its early start. She has established from scratch the company’s human resources policies and procedures and its unique culture. Yael brings extensive knowledge and experience, of almost a decade, in various human resource domains, including organizational development, management consultation, welfare, compensation and benefits, head-hunting and recruitment. She has vast experience in start-up companies with background in two international start-ups and over 5 years as the head of HR at Checkmarx. Yael holds a B.A in Behavioral Sciences, specializing in HR management, and a Master’s degree (MA) in Organizational Consulting and Development.
